108 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education the measures, if any, she will take to ensure better pay and conditions for the staff working in Youthreach Centres in view of the importance and success of youthreach schemes throughout the country; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In line with commitments in the Programme for Competitiveness and Work, a review has been commissioned on the conditions of staff in the youthreach programme. A report from the consultants is expected by the end of March 1996. The report will make recommendations on the duties, staffing structure, qualifications profile and status of employment of staff youthreach, having regard to the needs of the client group, the objectives of the programme and the provision in comparable services.
