Vol. 461 No. 7

Written Answers. - Centre for Independent Living.

Seán Haughey

Question:

137 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to have suitable funding provided by his Department and the Eastern Health Board to the Centre for Independent Living, Carmichael House, Brunswick Street, Dublin 7 to allow them to continue to provide a transport service for disabled people; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3611/96]

Limerick East): I am aware that the Centre for Independent Living made a pre-budget submission in relation to transport services for disabled people.

I understand that the matter has been referred to the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications and I have asked officials of my Department to liaise with that Department in the matter.
