Question:154 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education arising from her reply to Parliamentary Question 193 of the 20 February 1996, the timescale of the pilot phase of the scheme. [4333/96]
Written Answers. - Teacher Counsellor Scheme.
It is envisaged that the pilot phase of the teacher counsellor scheme will be the 1995-96 and the 1996-97 school years. The operation of the scheme is being monitored on an ongoing basis by my Department's primary inspectorate. The overall effectiveness of the scheme will be reviewed towards the end of the pilot phase, which may be changed in the light of experience.
