Vol. 462 No. 3

Written Answers. - Cavan Industrial Park.

Brendan Smith

Question:

105 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the specific funding, if any, he will provide to the relevant State agencies to develop an industrial park in Cavan town where the county council has adequate land for such development in view of the deficient industrial infrastructure in County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4578/96]

The provision of industrial sites and advance factories designed to attract foreign overseas development or indeed indigenous industry to any particular location is a matter for the day-to-day operation of the industrial development agencies. I am, however, informed that Cavan County Council and IDA Ireland are working together to identify suitable land for industry in Cavan town.
