Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the spending on roads national, secondary and county in the six Border counties in each of the years from 1989 to 1995; and the amount of funding from each source local authority and central Government for total road spending in each county. Details of national and non-national road grant payments and own resources expenditure on roads by local authorities in the period 1989-1995 are contained in the booklet "State Grant Payments to Local Authorities for National, Non-National and Non-Public Accommodation Roads and own resources expenditure by Local Authorities on National and Non-National Roads in the period 1986-95" which is available in the Oireachtas Library.
