Vol. 465 No. 2

Written Answers. - Traveller Halting Sites.

Chris Flood

Question:

66 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment if he has approved funding to South Dublin County Council for the upgrading of temporary sites for members of the travelling community in the Clondalkin, Dublin 22 area; the amount of funding involved; the number of travelling families on the site or sites in question; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5432/96]

I understand from South Dublin County Council that 24 families currently reside at the Lynch's Lane site and that 45 families are at the Bawnogue site. I have approved funding for the sites of £921,965 and £2,707,300, respectively.
