147 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education if grant aid will be made available to a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is studying in Oxbridge, England under the new proposals to grant aid first year students who are studying overseas. [9464/96]

The arrangements for the extension of maintenance grants to Irish students studying in other EU countries are now being finalised in my Department for incorporation in the 1996 student support schemes. I will be announcing the details shortly.
