Vol. 465 No. 3

Written Answers. - Kilmacthomas (Waterford) School.

Austin Deasy

Question:

59 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if the building programme at St. Declan's Community College, Kilmachthomas, County Waterford, will not be delayed by the retirement of key personnel in her Department in view of the fact that approval has already been sanctioned in respect of this project. [8441/96]

The documentation relating to the first stage in the planning process for the building project at St. Declan's community college has been received by my Department's building unit. There will be no undue delay in proceeding with the planning of this project.

The main factor which will determine when construction on this project will start is the availability of finance. At this early stage, it is not possible to say when building will begin.
