Question:60 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Health if he intends to publish the report on cervical screening which was initiated by his Department and which was received by him some time ago. [11315/96]
Written Answers. - Cervical Screening.
Limerick East): The report of the Cervical Screening Committee provides an overview of the cervical screening system and contains recommendations on the elements that would be required to introduce a systematic screening service. The report is being examined by my Department in the context of the development of a national strategy for cancer services in Ireland, details of which I shall be announcing before the end of June.
At this stage I cannot say when the report will be published.
