Question:289 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will approve an application for SLOM compensation under Council Regulation (EEC), Number 2187 of 1993, to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [13286/96]
My Department is awaiting receipt of the necessary authority and the requisite finance from the European Commission to allow it to offer compensation to persons who, like the person in question, were late in claiming SLOM compensation under the regulation cited.
