139 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the total amount paid out in national lottery grants from 1 January 1996, to date by his Department in respect of each county or constituency in the country; and the specific project funded from each grant allocation. [13896/96]

There is no subhead for lottery funds in the Vote of the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications for 1996 and no payments have been made.

Subheads X, DD and EE of the 1996 Defence Estimate are funded from the national lottery. Details of these subheads, together with provisional outturn figures to 31 May 1996, are given in the following table. Expenditure under these headings does not lend itself to apportionment on a county or constituency basis.

Lottery grants have not been paid out by the Department of the Marine in the period in question.
