Question:993 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Marine whether he has received a development plan for Baltimore Harbour, County Cork; and if so, the plans, if any, he has to approve such a plan. [15767/96]
Written Answers. - Baltimore (Cork) Harbour Development.
In February last I approved the award of a grant to Baltimore Harbour Commissioners towards a feasibility study for development plans at Baltimore harbour. The report of this feasibility study has now been received in the Department and is being examined at present.
The mid-term review of the Operational Programme for Transport, 1994 to 1999, including the ports element, will commence shortly. This review will examine how the ports investment programme, including funding, is progressing and whether there will be any capacity to fund, during the seond half of the programme, this or other suitable projects that meet EU selection criteria.
