Question:118 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, which has been made regarding the provision of second-level education for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath. [18987/96]
Written Answers. - Provision of Second Level Education.
The selection and enrolment of pupils in secondary schools is, in the first instance, the responsibility of individual schools. In cases such as this, my Department endeavours, by a process of consultation with school management, to have the pupil in question placed in a school in his locality. These efforts, which by their nature can take some time, are ongoing in this case and every effort is being made to find an appropriate placement.
