Vol. 470 No. 4

Written Answers. - Urban Renewal Scheme.

Eoin Ryan

Question:

137 Mr. E. Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment the number of locations to which he has extended designation, including Sligo. [19060/96]

Under section 6 of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986, areas have been designated for urban renewal in 35 locations throughout the country. On 22 September 1995 I made an order under the Act, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, providing for adjustments to the areas designated for urban renewal in Bray, Clonmel, Cork, Dublin, Sligo, Tralee and Wexford. On the same date, I also made an order under which certain areas in Cobh, County Cork were designated.
