Vol. 471 No. 5

Written Answers. - Protection of Mill.

Séamus Hughes

Question:

105 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the proposals, if any, the Office of Public Works has to make safe the mill at Bunadubber, Ballinrobe, recently acquired by that office, as there is widespread concern that in a storm or a flood serious, permanent damage could be caused to the structure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21346/96]

The National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of my Department has already commenced basic maintenance works to protect Bunadubber Mill, which was acquired earlier this year. A full survey and engineering assessment of the building is also being undertaken.
