33 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice when the ongoing review of practices within the immigration and citizenship division of her Department will be completed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [21710/96]
I assume the Deputy is referring to my answer to his question of 20 June when I indicated that the review of practices within the immigration and citizenship division of my Department is an ongoing process. In addition to that I would also add that my Department is currently examining all the procedures and practices within the division in question in the context of the Strategic Management Initiative, with a view to realising the broad objectives laid down in the document published by the Government earlier this year —"Delivering Better Government".
