Vol. 471 No. 8

Written Answers. - Identification Parades.

Seán Haughey

Question:

44 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Justice if she will institute any changes in the procedures for identification parades in order to abolish the requirement for the victims of crime to be physically present in the same room as suspects. [21782/96]

I have set out the position regarding procedures for identification parades in a number of replies to parliamentary questions. In particular, I refer the Deputy to Parliamentary Question No. 138 of 12 December 1995 and Parliamentary Question No. 167 of 2 October 1996.
