Question:300 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid his REP scheme in view of the fact that he is in financial hardship. [22460/96]

The person concerned has applied for his first year payment under the REP scheme. However an error required the return of the agri-environment plan for correction. This has now been done and the application will be processed shortly. Payment will issue as soon as possible.
