331 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the plans, if any, he has to extend the natural gas pipeline from Kinsale to benefit west Cork industries; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22820/96]
At my request Bord Gáis Éireann has carried out a detailed investigation of the possibility of a major extention of the natural gas network to a number of areas, including west Cork.
The board has recently furnished a detailed report in that regard. The report is currently being studied in my Department.
