257 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the date on which a payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the amount of payment to be made; the total arrears that will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2874/97]
The application in this case has been approved and payment of the pension will commence at the end of February 1997 retrospective to 12 December 1996. Payment on that date will amount to £2,200.71 gross which comprises the February payment of £831.98 and arrears of £1,368.73 backdated to 12 December 1996 less any income tax and PRSI deductions due.
