Written Answers. - Live Register Statistics.
Definitive statistics on the level of unemployment are based on the labour force survey. However, labour force survey results are not available for counties. The live register provides monthly data on claimants for unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance and other registrants classified by the local office of registration. The following table sets out the number of persons on the live register in County Wexford on the last Friday of December in the years 1991 to 1996.
