165 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education if she will provide finance from the capital building programme towards necessary development works at St. Mary's College, Galway, during 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10629/97]
A permanent extension to St. Mary's College, Galway has been approved in principle by my Department.
Sanction has issued to the school authority for preparation and submission of documentation relating to Stages IV and V, that is detail design and bill of quantity of the architectural planning process. This documentation is awaited.
The question of commencement of construction will depend on the availability of the necessary capital funds when the architectural planning is satisfactorily completed.
