Vol. 478 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Michael Ring

Question:

79 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to Sligo Regional Hospital for a hip operation in view of the fact that she has already waited for three years, is in severe pain and her husband, who is a stroke victim, depends solely on her care. [10639/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of orthopaedic treatment to the person concerned, in this instance, is the responsibility of the North-Western Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
