Question:

222 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a REP scheme payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [11256/97]

The REP scheme includes provision for compliance checks prior to the making of second year or subsequent payments. A compliance check was carried out on the applicant's farm, and a problem was uncovered as a result. When this has been resolved the applicant will be informed of the outcome.
