172 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if she has received a request from a school (details supplied) in County Cork for grant aid for improvements to the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12233/97]

My Department received a request for grant aid for improvements to the school referred to by the Deputy on 24 April 1997. This is currently being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school as quickly as possible.
