Vol. 478 No. 7

Written Answers - Civil Service Pensions.

Micheál Martin

Question:

49 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the dates of retirement and the current annual amounts of pensions being paid to persons (details supplied). [12154/97]

The persons in question retired from the Civil Service on 25 August 1973, 31 December 1984 and 29 January 1990, respectively. As regards the amounts of pension payable to them, it is not policy to supply information relating to individual public servants to third parties. I can, however, confirm that their pensions were calculated under the Superannuation Acts in the same way as those of civil servants generally. Subsequent to retirement, their pensions attracted the standard pensions increases.
