394 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Defence the situation regarding an Army house purchased from his Department in 1989 where the owner now wishes to sell due to particular circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12525/97]

Minister for Defence (Mr. Barrett)

A scheme allowing for the resale of married quarters within a period of ten years has been in operation since 1988. There are no plans to modify the conditions relating to this scheme. Resales are permitted in individual cases having regard to the circumstances relating thereto.
