438 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands when she will form a screen commission in relation to the future of the Irish film industry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14833/97]
On 4 June 1997, Bord Scannán na hÉireann established, under section 16 of the Film Board Act, 1980, a committee to which would be delegated the functions of a Screen Commission on behalf of the board. I am considering the appropriateness of this structure in the context of my review of film policy generally.
