Vol. 482 No. 2

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

66 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when he will have arrangements made to sort out an area aid problem for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who suffers severely from depression to enable the issue of his 1997 headage and premia payments in view of the fact that the delay is aggravating his condition. [17523/97]

It is expected that the area aid problem of the person named will be resolved within a week so that outstanding payments due to him can be made very soon after that.

Ivan Yates

Question:

67 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal concerning arable aid for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be determined; and if he will expedite the matter. [17526/97]

This appeal is currently under consideration at the headage and premia appeals unit. The herdowner will be notified of the outcome as soon as the matter is concluded. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and there will be no undue delay in replying to same.
