Question:208 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of money, capital and current, which was allocated in 1997 for services to those with a learning disability. [17820/97]

Revenue funding amounting to £150.245 million was allocated directly by my Department in 1997 for services to persons with a mental handicap. This includes £12 million in respect of new service developments. Capital funding of £5.6 million has also been approved for these services this year.
