333 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the reason for the delay in making funding available to the vocational education committees in order that they can pay youth and sports grants to the sporting and youth organisations. [17574/97]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that all vocational education committees, with the exception of a small number who have not furnished all of the required documentation, have received their youth and sports grants for 1997.

334 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the reason for the undue delay in providing funds to County Kildare Vocational Education Committee to enable the vocational education committee to pay their youth and sport grants to clubs and organisations; the date on which the funds will be issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17627/97]

I am pleased to confirm that funds have been provided to County Kildare Vocational Education Committee in respect of the youth and sports grants which the vocational education committee pays to clubs and organisations in County Kildare.
