Vol. 482 No. 5

Written Answers - Hospital Services.

Brendan Daly

Question:

114 Mr. Daly asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals, if any, he has for the provision of the necessary facilities for lung transplants at the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7. [18395/97]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions Nos. 13, 16 and 66 of 9 October 1997, Official Report, Vol. 481, Cols. 587-8. The question of site selection for a lung transplantation programme will form part of the assessment being carried out by my Department of the issues involved in setting up such a programme in this country.
