Vol. 482 No. 6

Written Answers. - Traveller Halting Sites.

Joe Higgins

Question:

329 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government whether there is a maximum rate that his Department will pay for the purchase of residentially zoned land by local authorities for the provision of halting sites. [19082/97]

Applications by local authorities for funding for the provision of halting sites, including land purchase costs, are considered on their merits having regard to the Department's guidelines for such sites. Accordingly, no maximum rate has been specified in relation to land costs.
