Written Answers. - Lake Fishing Licensing.
I have no plans at present to make any changes in the general licensing regimes which govern lake fishing. If the Deputy has a specific query in respect of any particular species or mode of fishing on lakes, I shall be glad to deal with it.
As the Deputy is aware, however, a specific problem has arisen with regard to eel fishing and I intend to progress the necessary primary legislation to address this without delay. I am also reviewing the scope for introducing remedial measures via regulations.
