505 Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for Education and Science when the architectural design process will be completed for the community college at Boyle, County Roscommon; and if he will give details of the next stages after the completion of the design process. [21465/97]
It is not possible for my Department to indicate when the architectural design process of the community college at Boyle will be completed. The architectural design of any project is dependent on a number of issues which are outside the control of my Department such as planning permission and fire safety certificate applications. It is a matter for County Roscommon Vocational Education Committee to ensure timely submission to my Department of the various completed stages of the architectural planning process of this particular project. When the architectural planning process is satisfactorily completed, the question of the project proceedings to tender and construction will be dependent on available finance and competing priorities.
