Vol. 485 No. 2

Written Answers. - Historic Monuments.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

193 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has to refurbish and make safe the ruined church at Faithlegg, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23055/97]

This is a matter for my colleague, the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands.

However, I am informed that the ruined church at Faithlegg, County Waterford, is not in State ownership or guardianship and consequently the carrying out of works there is not a matter for the National Monuments and Historic Properties Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands.
