Vol. 486 No. 1

Written Answers. - UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.

Dan Neville

Question:

580 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will outline the full report of the deliberations in relation to the Irish presentation at the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child meeting in Geneva. [1695/98]

The concluding observations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child in regard to their examination of Ireland's first national report on the UN Convention were received in my Department on Friday last and I will arrange to have a copy of these observations forwarded to the Deputy. A copy of the official record of the committee's hearing has not yet been received in my Department. When it is to hand, I will also arrange to forward a copy to the Deputy.
