Written Answers. - Building Regulations.
I announced a comprehensive package of updated building controls on 18 December, 1997 comprising consolidated Building Regulations, 1997, consolidated Building Control Regulations, 1997, and revised Technical Guidance Documents (1997 edition).
Copies of the regulations and the related technical guidance documents are available in the Oireachtas Library. I am sending the Deputy a copy of my press statement, which summarises the main building control changes — all of which come into effect on 1 July 1998.
