Vol. 486 No. 3

Written Answers. - Road Developments.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

204 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the way in which he and his Department will respond to widespread public opposition to the proposal to construct a motorway bridge across the Broad-meadow Estuary in north County Dublin. [2570/98]

I am at present considering the Northern Motorway Scheme, 1995 (Airport-Balbriggan By-Pass) and the associated environmental impact statement. In making a decision on this scheme I am required to consider, among other things, all objections to the scheme which have been lodged and which have not been withdrawn. I will make a decision on the scheme as soon as possible.
