262 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will ensure that an application for naturalisation for a person (details supplied) is expedited; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2745/98]
The application referred to by the Deputy is currently being processed under the relevant statutory provisions. This process, because of all the elements involved, can take some time to complete. When a decision is made on the application, this decision will be conveyed to the applicant.
