149 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be finalised in view of the fact that he was informed on 16 December 1997 that his appeal would be concluded shortly but he has not heard anything further. [2622/98]

The herdowner has lodged an appeal with the headage and premia appeals unit concerning his 1997 cattle headage application. His appeal is currently being examined and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.
