There have been some temporary delays in processing premium applications for County Leitrim. Steps are currently being taken to expedite the payment of outstanding premium payments.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

94 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim has not received his forestry plantation grant for the years 1996 and 1997. [3830/98]

The applicant was paid his forest premium for 1996 on 12 April 1996. The premium for 1997, due in April, was withheld pending the resolution of a mapping issue. Arrangements are now being made to pay the 1997 and 1998 premiums together.
