140 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science the enrolment figures for the 20 largest primary schools designated as disadvantaged, which are not included in the early start pre-school schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4445/98]
The information on enrolment figures requested by the Deputy is being compiled by my Department and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
In March this year I will be holding a National Forum on Early Childhood Education. My objective is to allow all groups with an interest in this area to put forward their views as to how best to co-ordinate and support the development of early childhood education services for the future.
