247 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will have her application dealt with, under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme, in view of the fact that she has applied each year since 1996. [7325/98]
As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly in the Mayo area is administered by the Western Health Board on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate this case as a matter of urgency and respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
