288 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department received a request from Dublin Corporation for funding for a window replacement programme for older corporation tenancy houses in November 1996; and, if so, the response given to this request. [7141/98]
A proposal received from the corporation for a reallocation of capital resources from their housing construction programme for 1997 to fund a programme of works to upgrade some of their existing housing stock, including a window replacement programme, was approved by the Department in April 1997. The corporation made a similar proposal in relation to 1998 and this was approved in February 1998.
