325 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been refused permission to board Irish course students in the future. [6939/98]

: Tógfaidh mé Ceisteanna Uimh. 324 agus Uimh. 325 le chéile.

Since this question, which specifically relates to matters regarding a Gaeltacht scheme, is being put to me in English, I am answering it in English even though I have stated it is my policy to answer all such representations and parliamentary questions in the Irish language.

As explained to the Deputy in reply to a previous question of 21 Deireadh Fómhair 1997, the household in question remains approved under scéim na bhfoghlaimeoirí Gaeilge. However, the allocation of students to approved houses is a matter for the college authorities concerned.
