Vol. 489 No. 2

Written Answers. - Prison Medical Services.

Question:

144 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the measures, if any, he has taken to ensure that a person (details supplied) in Mountjoy Prison receives proper treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7790/98]

It is normal practice not to comment on the case of an individual prisoner and I do not intend to make an exception to that practice in this case other than to say that appropriate arrangements for the care and treatment of the person referred to by the Deputy are in hand.
