Vol. 489 No. 3

Written Answers. - Higher Education Grants.

P. J. Sheehan

Question:

252 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been refused a higher education grant by Cork County Council, in view of the fact that he passed his third year BSc and is attending Kingston College in London. [7811/98]

Following another query in relation to the issue involved in the case referred to by Deputy Sheehan, I have asked my Department to review a number of decisions made by local authorities in the light of the information now available. I expect to receive a report on this issue shortly and I will advise the Deputy of the outcome in due course.
