Question:265 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a garda sergeant will be appointed to Headford Garda station, County Galway. [10467/98]
Written Answers. - Garda Deployment.
The Garda authorities are responsible for the detailed deployment of Garda personnel to individual areas. They have informed me that the previous sergeant attached to Headford Garda station retired on 22 April 1998 after spending 20 years as sergeant in charge. I understand from them that it is intended to fill the vacancy at the earliest opportunity.
