Written Answers. - Youthreach Programme.
At present there are 3,975 approved places on the Youthreach programme in FÁS and VEC centres, and a further expansion of 2,790 places is under way, which will bring the total to 6,765.
There are of the order of 130 centres overall between FÁS and the vocational education committees providing the programme. Numbers attending the programme would vary from day to day and such details are not kept as a matter of record by my Department. However, latest available data indicates an average annual participation rate of 88 per cent.
